Harj Bedi is a therapeutic gastroenterologist at St. Paul’s Hospital. She completed Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology fellowship at University of British Columbia. She then completed her therapeutic gastroenterology training at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she specialized in complex pancreatobiliary diseases, interventional endoscopy, and innovative approaches to gastrointestinal disorders. Her clinical and research interests include endoscopic innovation, diagnosis and management of pancreas cancer, treatment of complex bile duct pathologies, and advancements in peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) techniques. She is actively engaged in collaborative research aimed at improving clinical outcomes and patient safety through novel endoscopic technologies. In addition to her academic contributions, she is dedicated to teaching and mentoring gastroenterology trainees, with a strong commitment to advancing the field through both innovation and education.
