Ippei Tanaka, MD, MPH, is an Advanced Endoscopy Fellow at the University of British Columbia. He previously worked as a gastroenterologist and therapeutic endoscopist at Showa University Koto Toyosu Hospital in Japan. His primary interests are advanced endoscopic resection, including endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), third-space endoscopy, and the management of esophageal diseases. He has published several peer-reviewed articles and has presented his research at international conferences.
