Dr. Sepehr Nassiri completed his medical degree, Internal Medicine residency, and Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of British Columbia. He subsequently pursued an Advanced GI Motility Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles.

During his fellowship, Dr. Nassiri developed expertise in the investigation and management of complex motility disorders. His clinical competencies include high-resolution esophageal and anorectal manometry, endoluminal functional lumen imaging, pH studies, body surface gastric mapping, anorectal biofeedback therapy, the management of gastric electrical stimulation devices, and the evaluation and management of small intestinal bacterial overgrowth.

His clinical interests encompass both general gastroenterology as well as foregut, midgut, and hindgut motility disorders. He is particularly committed to improving care for patients with gastroparesis, pelvic floor dysfunction, and fecal incontinence. Through clinical innovation, collaboration, and education, he hopes to advance the field of GI motility and expand access to specialized motility care.
