Dr Sofia Bartlett is a Scientific Director at the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control and an Assistant Professor (Partner) in the School of Population and Public Health at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Across these roles, she leads applied public health research, enhanced surveillance, and program evaluation initiatives aimed at preventing and responding to viral hepatitis, HIV, syphilis, and tuberculosis. Her multidisciplinary expertise spans basic science (viral evolution, molecular diagnostics, and drug resistance), epidemiology (surveillance, screening, and treatment effectiveness), and public health (transmission dynamics, equity impacts of policy, and implementation science).
