Prior to entering medical school, Andrew Flynn completed his PhD at the University of Calgary with a thesis entitled "Intestinal Epithelial Cell Responses to Infection with Attaching and Effacing Pathogens". He thereafter completed his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Calgary, and a Clinical Training Program in Gastrointestinal Motility and Neurogastroenterology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. He joined Pacific Digestive Health in Victoria, British Columbia, in 2016 and has overseen esophageal motility and ambulatory pH testing for Vancouver Island and beyond since then.
