Dr. Eric Lam is a Clinical Professor of Medicine and the Head, Division of Gastroenterology at the University of British Columbia. He is also on staff at St. Paul’s Hospital and Providence Health Care in Vancouver. He completed his MD at Memorial University, followed by residency and fellowship training in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Endoscopic Ultrasound at leading Canadian institutions. Dr. Lam specializes in hepatobiliary and pancreaticobiliary medicine, advanced therapeutic endoscopy, and endohepatology. A passionate educator, he served as Program Director for the UBC Adult Gastroenterology Residency and has trained numerous residents and fellows in advanced procedures. He is recognized internationally for his expertise in endoscopic innovation, mentorship, and advancing gastrointestinal clinical practice.
